Continuous Glucose Monitors do not require a prescription in the EU or UK. In the United States, the sensors are considered medical devices and thus require a consultation. With Veri, this means filling in a 2-minute form upon purchase in the US.

When ordering a Veri membership with sensors in the US, we take care of the whole process for you. As Veri is not intended for medical purposes, our partner pharmacy is able to issue consults to individuals who don't have diabetes or other contraindications.

Please note that your consult with Veri is not a prescription and therefore cannot be transferred out to another pharmacy if requested.

When you purchase Veri, you will receive an email from order@veri.co with a link to a short questionnaire that must be completed within 72 hours of purchase. A physician will review this submission and issue a consult for CGMs that is valid for 1 year.

What is required within the consult questionnaire?

The consult form takes only a couple of minutes to fill in. You'll be asked your contact information, date of birth, about contraindications such as adhesive allergy, any ongoing health conditions and medications that you might be taking.

Your data is processed in compliance with HIPAA, and only the prescribing physician will access it.

Can I use insurance or an HSA/FSA account for Veri?

This depends on your provider. Different providers have different coverage, so we encourage you to check with your HSA/FSA provider first. If they accept CGMs in your plan, we'll be happy to help you with obtaining the required documentation.
